Michael Madsen was found dead in his Malibu home at 67-years-old, and his cause of death has just been revealed according to a new report.

Five days after his death, Michael Madsen’s cardiologist said he died from heart failure, according to NBC4 Los Angeles.

His doctor said heart failure will be listed as the “Kill Bill” actor’s cause of death, with heart disease and alcoholism also named as contributing factors, according to the outlet.

An autopsy will not be conducted because Madsen’s cardiologist signed his death certificate, and the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department has closed their investigation into the “Reservoir Dogs” star’s death, listing natural causes, also according to the NBC affiliate.

As we previously reported, Madsen was found unresponsive by deputies responding to a 911 call at his Malibu home a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson told to The Hollywood Reporter. He was pronounced dead at 8:25 a.m.

He is survived by his family, including sister actress Virginia Madsen.
