A ‘Modern Family’ alum has come out in the most iconic way!

Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, who played Lily Tucker-Pritchett on the hit ABC sitcom for almost a decade, revealed in a post on Threads that she’s bisexual. The timing couldn’t be more spot-on as the LGBTQIA+ community celebrates Pride Month in June.

In her Instagram caption, Aubrey wrote “happy pride month to all and to all a goodnight hehehe,” with the hashtag “bi” included.

In the video, Aubrey laughs and lip syncs to a now classic scene from ‘Modern Family’ featuring her on-screen dad Mitchell Pritchett (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Sophia Vergara. Vergara’s character Gloria Delgado-Pritchett says, “You are Vietnamese," to which Lily says, "No, I'm not, I'm gay, I'm gay!"

In the sound, Mitchell responds with "Honey, no, you're not gay. You are just confused!" Mitchell Pritchett and Cam Tucker, played by Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet, respectively, are one of the most celebrated gay marriages on TV in the 21st century.

On social media, fans went into a frenzy with a slew of support and positive comments. One user on Threads wrote, “Perks of having gay dads,” while another said, “So apparently that was a sign you were trying to send years ago.”

Many fans shared how proud her on-screen dads, Cam and Mitchell, would be. One thing’s for sure: the audio choice couldn’t have been more perfect. One Instagram user pointed out that “coming out to this audio is truly iconic.”
