Gwyneth Paltrow's highly publicizedcivil trial with a retired optometrist involving a collision at a Utah ski resort will soon take center stage in a new musical.

The musical, called "Gwyneth Goes Skiing," will open atLondon's Pleasance Theatre on Dec. 13 and run through Dec. 23.

Its premise was inspired by a legal battle between Paltrow and Terry Sanderson, who initially sued Paltrow in 2019 for more than $3 million with claims a ski crash between the two on the slopes of Deer Valley Resort three years prior had left him with a permanent brain injury.

The suit accused Paltrow of a "hit and run," which was later dismissed by a judge. An amended suit was then filed, seeking damages of $300,000 for negligence due to Paltrow leaving the scene.

Paltrow was ultimately found not at fault for the crashin March. Instead, the jury concluded that Sanderson was "100 percent" at fault, dismissing his lawsuit against the actress and awarding her $1 and attorney fees in her countersuit.

A description of"Gwyneth Goes Skiing" claims they will transformLondon’s Pleasance Theatre into Deer Valley Ski Resort for the show.

"On the slopes of Deer Valley, their worlds collided, and so did they — literally. Ouch. Seven years later in 2023, they went to court. Double ouch," it reads. "A story of love, betrayal, skiing, and (somehow) Christmas - where you are the jury!"
