Neve Campbell is back to face off with Ghostface in 'Scream 7' trailer
You can’t keep Sydney Prescott down!
That’s Neve Campbell’s iconic final girl from the “Scream” franchise, who is making her return to the series in “Scream 7” after skipping out on the last entry.
In the first trailer for the movie, we’re going back to where it started, with a classic “Hello Sydney” from the killer, harassing our heroine over the phone.
They taunt Sydney about her current town reminding them “of where we grew up,” suggesting someone from her past is back for more blood.
Sydney fires back that she’s done this before and dealt with someone hiding behind a voice changer, but this time the killer insists they’re not hiding.
But Sydney’s bravado is challenged when the killer threatens her daughter, Tatum (Isabel May), named for her late BFF Tatum in the original (played by Rose McGowan).
Of course, we get another familiar face popping up with Courteney Cox’s Gale Weathers, ready to “unmask this f---er.”
Gale’s not the only OG returning. Matthew Lillard, David Arquette, and Scott Foley are all due to return in some capacity, but the how remains a mystery as all their characters are in fact, dead.
There is a haunting hint though at the end of the trailer, as the new Ghostface burns down Stu’s house, the site of the bloody finale from the original, and we hear right at the end what sounds like Lillard’s voice say, “This is gonna be fun!”
Also joining the cast are Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown, reprising their roles from “Scream” and “Scream VI,” we well as Joel McHale as Sydney’s husband, Anna Camp, Mark Consuelos, Ethan Embry, and McKenna Grace.
“Scream 7” will be in theaters February 27, 2026.
