Marvel dropped another “Avengers: Doomsday” trailer, this time focusing on Chris Hemsworth’s Thor.

The new teaser follows the Chris Evans/Captain America one released just before Christmas last week.

In the clip, Thor can be seen kneeling and praying to Odin, his late father (played by Anthony Hopkins), for strength to protect his daughter, Love.

“Father, all my life, I have answered every call, to honor, to duty, to war,” he says. “Now fate has given me something I never sought: a child. A life untouched by the storm. Lend to me the strength of the All-Fathers so that I might fight once more, defeat one more enemy and return home to her. Not as a warrior, but as warmth. To teach her not battle, but stillness. The kind I never knew. Please Father, heed my words.”

Love was introduced in 2022’s “Thor: Love and Thunder” and has strength and power of her own like her adoptive dad.

After his speech, the trailer promises, “Thor Will Return in ‘Avengers: Doomsday.’”

There appears to be a theme emerging in these “Avengers: Doomsday” trailers: parenthood! The first teaser highlighted Steve Rogers/Captain America riding his motorcycle home to hold his baby, and now we’re seeing the softer side of the God of Thunder in this new teaser.

As for the known plot details, the film is set be a massive mashup of characters, combining the “New Avengers” from this year’s film, plus a team brought together by Anthony Mackie’s Captain America (Sam Wilson), as well as a multiverse’s worth of characters, including the original film version of the X-Men and the current Fantastic Four lineup.

All those people will be facing off with Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom. His arrival was teased at the end of this summer’s “Fantastic Four: First Steps,” in a post-credits sequence, but his face was never shown.

“Avengers: Doomsday” will be in theaters December 18, 2026.
