With temperatures trending in the scorching direction, you might find yourself seeking refuge in an air-conditioned room. Fortunately, there's a little bit of everything for everyone in this week's digital-to-own releases with the British period dramedy "Mr. Malcolm's List" (likely more appealing than Netflix's new adaptation of "Persuasion");Ralph Fiennes and Jessica Chastain star in the drama "The Forgiven;" fans of Japanese animation will want to track down the magical realism of "Fortune Favors Lady Nikuko;" World War II and history buffs will find "Orders from Above" of interest; those without HBOmax or fans wanting to purchase a digital copy of "Zack Snyder's Justice League" can now do so; and horror fans have the option of the found-footage "He's Watching," or the bizarre body horror of Alex Garland's latest experiment "Men."

It's also an incredibly busy week from Blu-ray and DVD as "The Bob's Burger Movie," the final season of "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," the first season of Paramount's "Yellojackets," a new "Reno 911!" feature, and HBO's "Let Them All Talk" get physical releases. Personally, I'm more excited about owning the acclaimed foreign film "Drive My Car" and the Sundance Film Festival violent sci-fi comedy "Dual."

The week also sees Steelbook releases for "Men in Black" and "Good Burger;" a 4K release for the infamous mass-shooting drama "God Told Me To;" a slew of horror releases old and new from Arrow Films; the French erotic drama "Nathalie" featuring Emmanuelle Béart; and a Criterion Collection release of Denzel Washington's "Devil in a Blue Dress."

Drive My Car -Only Ryusuke Hamaguchi—with his extraordinary sensitivity to the mysterious resonances of human interactions—could sweep up international awards and galvanize audiences everywhere with a pensive, three-hour movie about an experimental staging of an Anton Chekhov play, presented in nine languages and adapted from Haruki Murakami stories. With Drive My Car, the Japanese director has confirmed his place among contemporary cinema’s most vital voices. Two years after his wife’s unexpected death, Yusuke Kafuku (Hidetoshi Nishijima) arrives in Hiroshima to direct a production of Uncle Vanya for a theater festival and, through relationships with an actor (Masaki Okada) with whom he shares a tangled history and a chauffeur (Toko Miura) with whom he develops a surprising rapport, finds himself confronting emotional scars.
