FLINT, Mich. (WEYI) – Some people are calling for the Nickelodeon Network show "Paw Patrol" to be canceled or to eliminate police dog character Chase.

The controversy started following a Tweet in which Paw Patrol said, "In solidarity of #amplifymelanatedvoices we will be muting our content until June 7th to give access for Black voices to be heard so we can continue to listen and further our learning. #amplifyblackvoices"

After Paw Patrol tweeted out support of allowing black voices to be heard, the Twitter account took a lot of criticism.

Nickelodeon has made no comment on the story, and as of now, there are no plans to cancel the show or change its characters.
