Happy Birthday to Prince George, who’s turning 12 today!

The eldest of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s three children, Prince George is almost a teenager now, and the proud parents shared a new photo and some video to honor his birthday.

In the photo, Prince George looks a lot like his dad, with a big smile, blonde hair, and sporting country attire. And if you look closely, you can see he’s still a kid for now, wearing a friendship bracelet on his wrist.

William and Kate also shared a sweet video of all three kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, posing for portraits, holding hands, and hanging out together in the countryside.

It’s a sweet video showcasing the sibling bond. It’s also adorable as the youngest, Prince Louis, is still missing a few front teeth for the moment.

As he continues to grow, Prince George has been making more publicly appearances with his family, gearing up for his eventual royal duties.

His most recent outing was to Wimbledon with his parents and sister. He could be seen chatting with his dad in the stands and still pulling a few funny faces as he took in the tennis match.

And while he is second in line for the throne after his father, Prince William and Kate Middleton have worked to give him and his siblings as much normalcy as a modern day prince can manage.

In 2023, a source told People Magazine that they "consciously set out to achieve a sense of normality.”

That means more hands on parenting, stemming in part from Kate’s own childhood outside the aristocracy.

"Coming from a different background, she appreciates the importance of having family time," a source told the outlet. "She wasn't brought up in that aristocratic setting where you see the children for a short time each day."
