“Real Housewives of New York” alum Ramona Singer accidentally shooed away a famous fan while out and about.

In a since expired Instagram story, Singer explained the moment by inviting the fan, who turned out to be Emma Roberts, in to retell the tale, according to Page Six.

“So guess who I ran into!” Singer said in the clip, panning over to show Roberts. “She wanted to say ‘hi’ to me. I said, ‘Not now!'”

Roberts added that she was a “big fan” and mimicked Singer’s reaction, saying “She said, ‘Get away! No!'”

It was Singer’s daughter, Avery Singer, who helped her “fix” what could have been an awkward situation by alerting her mom that the fan was in fact a famous actress from a famous acting family.

Avery joined the video to explain her part, recalling she said, “You need to immediately go fix it because you have no idea who you just shooed away.”

And she ended up being the one to apologize first, approaching Roberts and saying, “‘Excuse me, I really would like to apologize on behalf of my mother.'”

No lasting harm occurred after the little mishap, and Roberts declared the in the video that she, Avery, and Singer are “BFFs.”

Awkward moments happen to even the biggest of stars, including Roberts.

She was recently caught on TikTok talking to Matthew McConaughey during Paris Men's Fashion Week on Sunday, with “X-Files” star Gillian Anderson uncomfortably caught in the middle of their conversation. The two seemingly ignoring her while they caught up.

To her credit, Anderson appeared to be chuckling a little at the two actors leaning over her to talk.
