PHILADELPHIA (WKRC) — Former University of Cincinnati offensive lineman Jason Kelce will reportedly retire from professional football after 13 seasons.
ESPN senior insider Adam Schefter reported that the Philadelphia Eagles center will retire.
Schefter said Kelce, 36, told his teammates in a post-game locker room speech that it was, in fact, his final game after 13 seasons.
The Ohio native was visibly emotional last night, following the Eagles 32-9 loss to the Buccaneers.
He came to UC and saw time in 2007 as a center and guard and played mostly as guard the next two years. Kelce moved to center for his senior year in 2010 and then was a 6th-round NFL Draft pick of the Eagles in 2011.
