Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have ended their nearly decade long relationship according to sources from Us Weekly.

Rumors have been swirling for months around the couple. “Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable. It’s not contentious at the moment. Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life,” a source told Us Weekly.

The source also admits that the split has been “a long time coming” and things “have been tense for months.” The ‘Firework’ singer is “keeping busy” while traveling and being on tour “and is distracted.”

Another sign the two have split according to the source, Katy is “renting out” her Westcott Estate in Montecito, California. “But her and Orlando have always lived in their Montecito home as their primary residence.” The couple was “planning on making the Westcott home their family home but plans have changed” and “have been living apart since Katy has been on tour,” the source concludes.

The couple share daughter Daisy Dove, who they welcomed in 2020. After the birth the coupe remained very private until Katy opened up about motherhood two years later in 2022 saying, “Daisy is great. She is a combination of both me and her father, which we are fearless with lots of chutzpah and just characters. So the combination of both of us is definitely coming out. It’s amazing to see everything new again through a toddler’s eyes,” she told PEOPLE.

February of the same year the popstar revealed that the coronavirus pandemic caused them to postpone their wedding, “It’s a destination location we’re still trying for it to work out but every couple of months it’s like ‘new variant! New variant! New variant!’ she tells Australian radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O. As far as we know, another date was never set.

But then in 2023 is when it seems like things started to get rocky for the duo Orlando did lovingly describe Katy as his “baby mama and life partner,” he also admits “we’re in two very different pools. Her pool is not a pool that I necessarily understand, and I think my pool is not a pool that she necessarily understands. Sometimes things are really, really, really challenging. I won’t lie,” the 48-year-old actor told Flaunt Magazine.

Then in September 2024, Katy opened up to Alex Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast about she and Orlando attending couples therapy on a regular basis and the work she and Orlando put into their relationship, including The Hoffman Process, the week-long therapeutic retreat they each attended, “He went there, and then he came back, and he wasn’t playing this cat-mouse game anymore with me. And I was like, ‘This is boring. I’m moving on.’ I was so used to this push-pull I was playing games. ‘Cause it was a dopamine hit, right?’ It was what I threw.
