For the first time ever, the Natural Bridge Caverns, the largest commerically operated network of underground caves in the state of Texas, is hosting a live underground concert.

The concert series will begin on Aug. 18 with renowned guitarist and songwriter, Monte Montgomery.

The concert will take place in the newly discovered "ballroom" which, according to a press release, was found in the natural underground chamber and has the perfect sound quality for musical performances. Located 180 feet underground, the ballroom is the deepest concert venue in Texas.

“From the day we first decided to open this area to the public, we imagined the possibilities for live music,” said Brad Wuest, president of Natural Bridge Caverns. “This is the first of many concerts we plan on having in this unique venue.”

Due to the small and intimate size of the Ballroom, only 200 tickets will be sold, making it a unique experience for both the artist and the audience.
