'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' star Taylor Frankie Paul is the new 'Bachelorette'
“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Taylor Frankie Paul is ready to hand out some roses.
The 31-year-old was the breakout star of the Hulu reality series, based on the viral TikTok sensation.
In a press release, ABC said the “Utah native is ready to trade headline-making heartbreak for hometown dates as she begins making her mark on Bachelor Nation.”
Paul is a mom of three, sharing daughter Indy and son Ocean with ex-husband Tate Paul, and son Ever, with ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.
On Wednesday’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Paul shared some of her dating preferences, including being ok with her future match having children.
She also said her new man needs to be willing to move to Utah, but doesn’t expect him to convert.
“I do preferably want someone that does believe in God,” Paul said. “Because when you’re raising children it can be confusing when one does and one doesn’t. But also, I’m up for hearing their side.”
She added, “I don’t care what religion you are. How do you treat other people?”
Paul became known as an influencer in the #MomTok community, a group of women from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sharing their lives on TikTok. She made news when she announced, in 2022, that she had “stepped out” of an agreement with her husband in terms of relationships with other couples involving “soft-swinging” (a form of partner-swapping,) and they were getting divorced.
The following year, Paul was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and other offenses, including domestic violence in the presence of a child, during a dispute with Mortensen. She pleaded guilty in August 2023 to a misdemeanor charge of aggravated assault; the other charges were dismissed.
The all-new season of “The Bachelorette” will debut in 2026, and “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” returns Nov. 13, 2025.
