Shakira pledges portion of San Antonio concert proceeds to aid flood victims

SAN ANTONIO — Global superstar Shakira announced that a portion of her San Antonio concert proceeds will go towards disaster relief for flooding victims.

In a statement on X, Shakira said the funds would be donated to Catholic Charities of San Antonio, who are providing support to the families impacted.
"Dear San Antonio, Our hearts and prayers are with those affected by the flood in Central Texas," the post said in part.
