Ozzy Osbourne’s family, friends, and fans are saying their final farewells through tears.
Osbourne was honored with a funeral procession through his hometown of Birmingham, England, on Wednesday, attended by his wife, Sharon Osbourne, their children, Kelly, Jack, and Aimee, as well as one of his older children, son Louis, and grandchildren.

Sharon was visibly distraught and in tears, supported by her kids as they took in the memorial at the Black Sabbath Bridge Bench.
Ozzy’s family also held up peace signs, a nod to one of Ozzy’ signature hand gestures, and waved to the devoted fans, who chanted things like, “Ozzy, Ozzy, Ozzy, oi, oi, oi,” to honor the rock icon.
Their presence at the funeral procession is the first time any of the Osbournes have been seen publicly since the “Crazy Train” singer’s death on July 22 at the age of 76.
The family initially released a statement announcing the sad news, writing, "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time” and signed by “Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis."
Plans for the procession were announced by the city yesterday.
The Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Councilor Zafar Iqbal MBE, JP, said in a statement, “Ozzy was more than a music legend - he was a son of Birmingham. Having recently been awarded the Freedom of the City and following his celebrated appearance at the ‘Back to the Beginning’ concert at Villa Park earlier this month, it was important to the city that we support a fitting, dignified tribute ahead of a private family funeral.”
He continued, “We know how much this moment will mean to his fans. We’re proud to host it here with his loving family in the place where it all began, and we are grateful that they have generously offered to pay to enable this to happen and support the city is giving him the farewell he deserves.”
