'Sister Wives' star Janelle Brown denies being 'asexual,' says 'I'm a very sexual being'
“Sister Wives” star Janelle Brown is single and ready to mingle, and wants people to know it.
During the fourth and final episode of “Sister Wives: One on One,” Janelle addressed speculation about her sexuality after she said people claimed she was asexual.
“Everybody has this idea just because I didn't want to have assembly line kisses with Kody or whatever, that I was asexual,” Janelle said. “I promise you. I'm not asexual. I promise you.”
Janelle and Kody had been married spiritually for 29 years but split in 2022. Kody’s other wives, Christine Brown and Meri Brown, have also left the plural marriage, and the only remaining relationship from the show is Kody and Robyn.
A mother to six children, Janelle joked that “The hormones are hell when you're single, but you know, it's like you just deal with it or whatever.”
She also admitted during the episode that she wasn’t exactly looking for a new partner, but was absolutely not asexual.
“Just trust that I am not,” Janelle said. “I'm a very sexual being, a very earthed Mama. I'm a Taurus, and I'm a very earthed Mama.”
As for whether she’d be interested in pursuing polygamy again at any point, Janelle was unsure.
“I suspect that someday down the road, if there's somebody else, then that will be part of it,” she said.
For his part, her ex-husband Kody said “hello no” to another plural marriage, while her former sister wife Meri also admitted that while she still believes in it, it only works if everyone is committed to it. Her other former sister wife, Christine, who is now remarried, said in a past interview she no longer follows the lifestyle, and Kody’s only partner at the moment, Robyn, said she’d only do it with certain guarantees.
