NEW YORK (TND) — The man wanted by authorities in connection to the random attack on actor Steve Buscemi was arrested.
Clifton Williams was arrested Friday afternoon.The 50-year-old was charged with second-degree assault, according to New York City police.
The actor was attacked on May 8 in New York City's 13 Precinct.
The 66-year-old actor told police officers he was punched in the face.
The "Fargo" and "Boardwalk Empire" star was taken to the hospital for treatment regarding bruising, swelling and bleeding to his left eye.
Williams, who is homeless, was charged in the sameprecinctBuscemi was attacked.
Buscemi's publicist did not respond to the Associated Press' message. The actor's publicist previously said the actor was "another victim of a random act of violence in the city" and that he was OK.
The actor's assault follows a string of similar incidents in Manhattan last month.
