Sundance Film Festival 2024 ticket packages now on sale

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Unexpectedly, January feels all the closer today as ticket packages for the 2024 Sundance Film Festival went on sale Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. MST. While I'm not prepared to let go of the lovely fall weather we're having, the idea of sitting in a packed theater with a legion of strangers as an unknown film becomes the best movie you’ve watched in years.

Last night, I had the pleasure of speaking with new festival director Eugene Hernandez and Joana Vicente, CEO of the Sundance Institute, and I can tell you that 2024’s event has the makings of something special as the festival celebrates its 40th anniversary. A mingling of the past and the present is promised. Maybe they’ll sneak in a glimpse of the future. We might discover the next Jennifer Lawrence or young filmmakers like the Daniels who are destined for bigger, greater things. You might even find yourself sitting a row and three seats away from Taylor Swift. It happens at Sundance more often than you might think. I know because it happened to me.

Insider’s tip: Attending the festival in Park City is fantastic but don’t sleep on the Salt Lake City Pass or Salt Lake City Youth Pass. It’s practically a golden ticket.
