The best, wildest, and funniest 'Life of a Showgirl brand tie ins
“The Life of a Showgirl” dropped today and everyone wanted to be part of the Taylor Swift show.
Brands and businesses came up with some pretty clever and in some cases unexpected ways to connect with Swifities.
Starbucks
No surprise here that the coffee chain would appeal to “Starbucks lovers” (a play on a misheard lyric from Taylor’s song “Blank Space”) with an early morning coffee deal, but a Nashville location went all out to celebrate.
Starting Friday, the Starbucks located at 402 21st Avenue South, has transformed into "The Life of a Showgirl" Starbies coffeehouse, offering Swifities a vinyl pop-up record store, photo booth, friendship bracelets and glitter sprinkles on Starbucks Cold Foam.
It’s the only location in the country fully transforming, though many locations are celebrating the album release with listening parties.
Krispy Kreme
Another tasty treat to go with your coffee, Krispy Kreme is offering up “Life of a Showgirl” themed donuts in the album’s bright orange color scheme.
Fans can buy an orange colored original glazed or the same orange donut with sugar and teal icing.
Pillsbury Sourdough Mix
Taylor has spoken about her new sourdough bread hobby, so Pillsbury brought back its previously sold out Funfetti Sourdough Bread Mix.
“We heard you - and we’re making 1,003 more boxes!” they teased on Instagram, the 1,003 tying in with the release date of 10/03 for “The Life of a Showgirl.”
KitchenAid limited-edition Tangerine Twinkle Stand Mixers
To tie in with Taylor’s baking hobby, KitchenAid created a limited-edition glittery orange stand mixer, tying in with “The Life of a Showgirl’s” orange color scheme. The description calls Tangerine Twinkle "a vibrant orange, carefully painted in a small batch and finished with a sparkly, metallic flake finish designed to make your kitchen shine."
There’s only 12 available in the Showbiz Sweepstakes, that must be entered by 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday.
Uber & Uber Eats
Uber is offering 12% off select orange-colored items in the app through Oct. 5 at midnight ET, ranging from snacks to Aperol spritzes. But closer to Taylor’s heart is a series of pet adoption events in New York, Los Angeles, and Nashville.
They partnered with Best Friends Animal Society to host “Uber Showcats” pop ups to visit adoptable cats. On their Instagram, they shared adorable video, writing in the caption that you can come by “to cuddle — or even adopt — your very own kitten, create custom and complimentary charm jewelry, snap photos in a photobooth, and take away goodies.”
Tums
Tums, the chewable antacid, must have seen all the food brand deals and knew they would be needed after Swifities would be mixing together coffee and donuts and bread.
On their Instagram, they posted a mock up of “The Life of a Tums Girl” vinyl record, with a bedazzled Tums bottle on the cover, dubbing it the “Life of a Tums Girl: The I Ate 13 Hot Wings for Dinner and Now Writing My Will on a Napkin in the Parking Lot Vinyl Collection.”
In the caption, they added, “she’s entering her digestion era.”
