This 'Yellowstone' star claims he 'lost everything’ after being blacklisted by Hollywood
“Yellowstone” actor Neal McDonough reveals the reason he was ousted from Hollywood.
Neal McDonough said that his refusal to kiss other women besides his wife on any set was a death sentence for his acting career. The 59-year-old was a guest on Wednesday’s edition of the “Nothing Left Unsaid” podcast, opening up about the one rule he had in his contracts.
“I’d always had in my contracts that I wouldn’t kiss another woman on screen,” which he confirmed was a contractual demand that he made and not his wife, Ruve McDonough, who he’s been married to since 2003 and shares five children with.
The actor who was also seen in “Desperate Housewives” continued his statement, “My wife didn’t have any problem with it – it was me, really, who had a problem with it.”
He shares that it was nearly impossible for Hollywood producers to understand that he was serious about his demands which results in them not using McDonough for roles anymore, “When I wouldn’t do it they couldn’t understand. Hollywood just completely turned on me, and they wouldn’t let me be part of the show anymore. For two years, I couldn’t get a job and I lost everything you could possibly imagine.”
McDonough’s most recent role was this past May in the feature film “The Last Rodeo.” His wife portrayed his wife in the movie, and the two did kiss onscreen.
Looks like the problem is solved!
