TLC’s 'My Strange Addiction' is back with all new obsessions, from bugs to raw meat!

It’s been 10 years since we had a season of “My Strange Addiction,” but now the show is back with all new obsessions.
The trailer kicks off with Wendy casually eating raw hamburger meat in a nail salon, but her addiction goes beyond ground round.
“My name is Wendy and I'm addicted to eating raw meat,” she says, and can be seen later in the clip in tears at a family get-together saying, “I should be accepted.” It’s worth noting she’s eating a raw steak at the event.
Also featured in the trailer are a young man addicted to eating live bugs. He defiantly points out that many people around the world eat insects, to which the woman he’s with replies, “Not live!”
He also faces scrutiny from a doctor who warns he’s risking harmful parasitic infections, to which he replies, “I don’t care if it’s bad for me.”
Some of the other addictions this season include a bodybuilder addicted to bulking up, a woman who prefers to snort her food, a performer who loves eating make up products, a woman in love with her AI chatbot boyfriend, and a veteran who has filled his home with hundreds of snakes to cope with his PTSD.
“Over the years, ‘My Strange Addiction’ has built a passionate fan base that never stopped talking about it, sharing the most viral moments, and asking when we’d bring it back,” said Alon Orstein, SVP of Production and Development, TLC of the show’s return. "The new season delivers everything people love about the series. It's bold, surprising, and completely unforgettable. TLC is proud to continue showcasing the stories that endlessly captivate audiences, with the real and extraordinary human experiences you truly cannot find anywhere else.”
“My Strange Addiction” premieres January 7 on TLC.
