Todd Chrisley considered 'going back' to prison seeing wife Julie's post-lock up look
Todd Chrisley’s post-prison reunion with wife Julie wasn’t exactly what he envisioned.
On this week’s episode of the “Chrisley Confessions 2.0” podcast, Todd and Julie opened up on the details of their return home after both of them were released early thanks to a pardon by President Donald Trump.
“I’m not going to lie. When I first saw you when I got out of that car, I started thinking about going back,” Todd deadpanned. “But then I thought, let me embrace this. This is a moment.”
Julie understandably asked, “Are you kidding me, right now?”
He admitted, “It was a rough moment because I had never seen you dark in my life.”
Todd was referring to the fact that Julie, who is typically very blonde, left prison with darker brown hair and gray roots.
Julie reminded him, “Well, I know that, Todd, but I didn’t have any choice” when it came to her hair.
She explained she did go into the salon in prison and got highlights and loved the woman doing her hair, but the prison stylist was released just a few months in Julie’s prison sentence. So she had to stick with box dye at first, and then, thinking she was going to be in prison until August 2026, she decided to let it grow out and go gray so that she could have a blank canvas for her hairdresser at home.
But Julie took the opportunity to give herself a confidence boost, saying, “Was there a horrible picture that came out of me? Yes, but the way I flip that is ‘Look at me now! Now, people think I look even better because that horrible picture was out there to begin with.”
Todd quipped, “I will say, you set the bar low, you had nowhere to go but up.”
Julie fired back, “Now, that wasn’t very nice!”
“I’m just trying to be honest. That’s why we have ‘Chrisley Confessions 2.0,'” Todd said.
