'Walking Dead' actor’s son arrested for assault in New York

The son of “Walking Dead” star Norman Reedus has been arrested for assault in New York City.

Mingus Lucien Reedus allegedly punched a 33-year-old female victim in the leg, according to a report from The New York Post. Police told the outlet he then choked her and slammed her into the ground.

According to sources who spoke with The New York Post, Mingus called 911 around 8:40 am about a woman taking pills and threatening suicide at a Manhattan apartment. When police arrived the woman claimed Mingus assaulted her, and she was then taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

The 25-year-old is charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and assault in the third degree, per the outlet.

Mingus is the son of Reedus and model Helena Christensen. Reedus also has a daughter through his relationship with actress Diane Kruger.

This is not the first time the model and singer has been involved in an assault case.

In March 2022, Mingus took a plea deal for allegedly punching a woman during the San Gennaro Festival in Little Italy in the fall of the previous year.
