The cast of “White Lotus” wasn’t exactly rolling in dough the way their onscreen counterparts were.

Jason Issacs, who played Tim Ratliff on the third season of the critically acclaimed HBO Max series, revealed in an interview with Vulture that he and his castmates had a “very low” salary compared to other jobs.

“Generally, actors don’t talk about pay in public because it’s ridiculously disproportionate to what we do — putting on makeup and funny voices — and just upsets the public,” Isaacs said.

He did confirm to the outlet that the actors earned $40,000 an episode, saying that number was “absolutely true.”

“But compared to what people normally get paid for big television shows, that’s a very low price. But the fact is, we would have paid to be in it. We probably would have given a body part,” he added.

Isaacs has been working in film and television for decades, starring in the “Harry Potter” films as Lucius Malfoy, father to Harry’s bully Draco, along with roles in other films like “Armageddon,” “The Patriot,” “Peter Pan,” and “Star Trek: Discovery.”

With that kind of resume, the 62-year-old was asked if being paid the same as a relative newcomer like Patrick Schwarzenegger bothered him.

“Do I mind that I wasn’t paid more than other people? I never work for money. I mean, I’ve done all right. People will think I have huge stockpiles of money but sadly, what I’ve done rather immaturely is expand my outgoings to match my incomings and pretty much spent everything I’ve earned over the years,” he told the outlet.

Isaacs admitted he had more financial regrets than career regrets when he turned down roles after his U.S. breakout film “The Patriot.”

“There’s a number of things I could have done over the years that would’ve made me rich. And now that I’m toward the autumn of my career, I think maybe I’m an idiot and I should have done some of those things and just banked it, because other people do,” he said. “I’m constantly flicking through streamers, and I see well-known actors and go, Wow, when did they do that? And they obviously just went away for a month somewhere and made some money. I’ve not done that.”

Vulture noted that some of the “White Lotus” cast has popped up in commercials, including Schwarzenegger and Jennifer Coolidge, who starred in the first two seasons.

“I mean, God bless them, good luck to them. It’s not why I’m in the business. But I don’t miss it because I never had it,” he said.

Isaacs, who also starred in the 'Harry Potter' films as Lucius Malfoy, acknowledges that many of his roles have fallen into the villain category, making an endorsement deal a little tricky.

“Nobody’s come knocking at my door. When they look at brand association and they look at the characters I’ve played, maybe they don’t want the subliminal associations with people who burn churches or take their wives’ drugs. But listen, if people start phoning me up asking me to sell their incontinence pants, or kettles, or tea bags, or whatever the hell it is, I’m available.”
