A “Modern Family” star has moved house from Los Angeles to Utah!

Ty Burrell, who played Phil Dunphy on the ABC series for 11 seasons, moved to the beehive state in 2020 to focus on raising his family.

“It’s just been spectacular,” Burrell to People Magazine.

Burrell lives in Salt Lake City with his wife, Holly, and their two teenage daughters, Frances and Greta.

“We moved her right after [“Modern Family”] ended, and I don't have any regrets. It's been lovely and a great place to raise the kids.”

The 57-year-old admitted he wasn’t fully an outdoorsy person when he first moved there.

"My parents weren't really those kinds of people,” he said. "So at first, when we moved here, it almost felt like cosplay, like we were pretending to be people who were outdoorsy, and now we really truly love it.”

While Burrell is focused on his family, he is continuing to act, currently starring in the scripted podcast series “The Good Life,” which is loosely based on his own childhood.

Burrell was born and raised in Oregon but became drawn to Salt Lake City, taking a job in a play to be closer to his then-girlfriend, now wife.

"Over the next 10 years my wife and I travelled back and forth to spend time with family and began to fall deeper in love with your incredibly affordable lifestyle and immediate access to the outdoors," he wrote in an essay for HuffPost in 2014. "We fell so deeply that we didn't feel like we could be apart anymore and we moved from New York in 2008."
