WASHINGTON (SBG) — The Fresh Prince has found himself a new home.

Will Smith announced Tuesday on his YouTube Channel that "Bel-Air" has been ordered for 2 season by Peacock, NBCUniversal's streaming service.

"We have just officially closed the deal with Peacock with an unprecedented two-season order from a pitch," Smith said in the video.

Serving as the show's executive producer, Smith will be working beside Morgan Cooper, who created the original trailer for the dramatic reimagining of the series that went viral. Cooper will serve as director and lead writer of the reboot.

"Bel-Air" is described as a dramatic reinterpretation of the iconic '90s comedy that made Smith a household name over six seasons, according to CNN. He played the role of a street-smart kid who moved from West Philadelphia to the Bel-Air neighborhood in Los Angeles.

"With a reimagined vision, BEL-AIR will dive deeper into the inherent conflicts, emotions and biases that were impossible to fully explore in a 30-minute sitcom format, while still delivering swagger and nods to the original show," a news release from Peacocks says.

While there is no premiere date for the new series, you can check out the trailer that sparked the idea for the reboot below.
