Zac Brown is eliminating these vices because of advice from Bruce Springsteen
Zac Brown has undergone a huge life change!
He has decided to change up his diet and exercise regimen by cutting out alcohol, sugar and dairy, all because he has been working out with a former NFL trainer.
The 47-year-old country singer admits his grueling new routine takes a lot of discipline, but he's fully committed. "Nobody could have told me that I needed to stop drinking before I knew that it was time to do it, he told GQ magazine.
"But there were times when I had hangovers and I'd look at myself in the mirror and go, 'One day, I'm not going to do this anymore.' You kind of feel like [alcohol] is this feel-good friend that's always around, that's whatever, but nobody's life gets better because they quit drinking. And I can testify to that a hundred per cent."
Zac added, "I had a great drinking career, and I'm retired from it now. "
The musician went on to reveal he took lifestyle advice from veteran rocker Bruce Springsteen and put it into practice. He said, "I asked Bruce Springsteen when I first met him to tell me something that was invaluable to his career. He said, 'I sweat for an hour a day, no matter where I am, what I'm doing, I sweat for an hour a day.'"
"He's like, 'It'll change your life.' I started doing that when I was home or even on the road. I built a trailer that has a full gym in it."
Also working hard on his diet and exercise, Zak is also preparing to marry his partner Kendra Scott after a whirlwind romance.
Keep up the good work, Zac!
