While Aston Martin isn’t quite ready to take the wraps off the DBX, the automaker is starting to release some information about its first-ever SUV – including the first interior photo.

As you would expect from a bespoke and low-volume automaker like Aston Martin, the process to create this all-new vehicle has been precise and carefully executed.

In fact, Aston Martin revealed in a press release that it spent more than 6 months refining the driver’s position alone, making it comfortable for a 5-foot-tall female as well as a 6-foot-3-inch-tall male.

One of the big reasons this is possible: Aston Martin will be using a its own chassis. This allowed the design team to not only optimize interior volume but also produce the low roofline and shape that is distinctly Aston Martin.

While we’ve had a sneak peek at this all-new vehicle, we can’t share our impressions or photos just yet.

But if you’ve seen the interior of any Aston Martin, you know to expect seamlessly integrated technology and bespoke materials. What you might not expect is the attention to cargo stowage and legroom.

In addition to a bridged front center console that will hold a purse, Aston Martin said DBX will have class leading front and rear legroom.

The starting price for DBX will be $189,900, which slots it between the Vantage ($152,995) and the DB11 ($204,320) on the price list.

With the official DBX reveal scheduled for Nov. 20 in China, expect to see more photos and information on Nov. 19 in the U.S.
