Bad Bessie: Texas cow runs amok, charges at Temple police officer

TEMPLE, Texas (KEYE) - Temple police spent most of Friday trying to catch a mad cow on the loose.

Dashcam footage uploaded to the Temple Police Department's Facebook page shows a brown cow running through Wilson Park. Using his patrol unit, the officer manages to corral the heiferinto a gated portion of the park.

But the cow wasn't feeling it.

The video shows the cow warily eyeing the officer before it charges at him. The officer runs out of the way as the cow charges past.

At last check, the cow hadn't been caught and had managed to keep its freedom as it got out of Temple city limits. Temple police said they were not pursuing the cow.

No word on who the cow belonged to or where it came from.
