Blue Bell releases new Cookies 'n Cream Cone ice cream

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — A new flavor of Blue Bell ice cream made its way to stores this week.

Beginning Thursday, fans of Blue Bell's Cookie Cones could get a taste of their childhood with the newest offering from the creamery – Cookies 'n Cream Cone.

Blue Bell representatives said the flavor is a creamy vanilla ice cream combined with chocolate crème-filled cookie crumbles, chocolate cone pieces coated in dark chocolate and a chocolate fudge sauce.

Joe Robertson, executive director of advertising and marketing, said the flavor is inspired by the creamery's popular Cookie Cone which was introduced in 1997. Cookie Cones were mostly sold in school cafeterias and have not been available since 2015.

"Imagine our Cookies 'n Cream Ice Cream, then add in cone pieces and a fudgy swirl. It's an ice cream with all of the delicious ingredients of a Cookie Cone. It's your favorite cone, but in a carton," Robertson said.

The newest flavor is now available in half-gallon and pint sizes for a limited time.

Two pint-sized flavors, Cotton Candy and Orange Swirl, are also returning to stores for a limited time.
