Chick-fil-A to start selling meal kits you can make at home

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- Chick-fil-A is making mealtime easier for all of us staying at home.

Chick-fil-A announced Thursday, April 30 that they are offeringChicken Parmesan Meal Kits at participating restaurants nationwide, starting as early as May 4.

The make-it-yourself kit features pre-measured and ready-to-heat ingredients and a step-by-step recipe.

The restaurant chain claims you will have a delicious, homemade meal on the table in less than 30 minutes.

The kit is for two adults that costs $14.99.

It comes withtwo seasoned, breaded, and pressure-cooked Original Chick-fil-A Chicken filets, marinara sauce, Italian-style cheeses, and creamy garlic and lemon pasta. You can customize your kit upon request bysubstituting the Original Chicken filets for Grilled or Spicy filets.

Chick-fil-A said meal kits can be purchased at restaurants in the drive-thru, through the app, or a delivery partner.

"Our guests are currently experiencing unique challenges, which is why we’re proud to offer the Chicken Parmesan Meal Kit as an easy way for them to enjoy a delicious meal from the safety and comfort of home," said Ben Bolling, menu and packaging program lead at Chick-fil-A. "Our easy-to-prepare, dinnertime solution provides Chick-fil-A customers with all the ingredients needed for a homecooked meal, and all they have to do is simply visit a Chick-fil-A drive-thru or have a Chicken Parmesan Meal Kit delivered right to their front door."

Earlier this month, Chick-fil-A also announced the creation ofmeal bundle options.

The meal bundles serve four people and allow you to build your own meals bymixing and matching eight different menu options.

They also are selling five of their signature sauces in 8-ounce containers, including Chick-fil-A, Polynesian, Barbeque, Honey Mustard, and Garden Herb Ranch. You can purchase 8-ounce sauce containers via the Chick-fil-A app or when placing an order in the drive-thru.
