Daughter's eyes covered after fisherman sees what newly caught catfish swallowed

WASHINGTON (TND) — An Indiana man's routine fishing trip with a friend turned into anything but ordinary after the pair learned what was inside of a catfish they had just reeled in — an adult toy.

Richard Kesar wanted to take his friend Jon Hoop out on the Ohio River near Lawrenceburg so Hoop could catch his first blue catfish, according to WXIN.

Hoop caught a catfish, making it the first catch of the day. Hoop and Kesar noticed the fish had a larger-than-normal stomach but didn't think much of it since fish often swallow other fish, turtles, and other animals.

They kept fishing, catching a few more, before Kesar felt the fish and noticed what was inside was too hard to be another fish or animal.

Once Kesar got home to his wife and 3-year-old daughter, they cut the catfish open.

“We decided to cut it open, and we found the foam ball, part of a fish, and the other object,” Kesar told WXIN.

Inside?

A foam ball, part of another fish, and a phallic-shaped sex toy.

When it came out Jon, my wife, and I started laughing," Kesar told WXIN. "My wife immediately covered my daughter’s eyes and turned her away from it.”

On a now-viral Facebook post, Kesar posted graphic photos of the toy, stating:

Well we had a pretty interesting fishing trip this morning, we noticed the stomach was hard but didnt [sic] expect this to come out of it.

Everyone involved is left wondering how the toy ended up in the Ohio River... and into the catfish's stomach.

“It’s definitely something that doesn’t happen often," Kesar said.
