Delivery man hailed a hero after removing rattlesnake from family's porch

SUMNER, Neb. (KHGI) — It was a delivery just like any other day. Little did driver Matt Govier know he was about to make a startling discovery.

Ring cam footage showed a 36-inch prairie rattlesnake slither its way onto the porch of Christie Jones' home.

Once Govier "took care" of the snake using tools from the nearby garage, he cleaned up the mess and even took away the snake's body.

He then left a text message for the homeowner that read, "I hope you didn't have a pet rattle snake at your front door because I killed him ... Sorry about the blood."
