Shake Shack in the sky?

Delta announced a new partnership with the fast food chain to serve burgers in-flight. The burger offering will begin on flights out of Boston on Dec. 1 with plans to extend to other markets in the United States in 2025.

But, there's a catch. Only customers sitting in First Class on flights over 900 miles will be able to get the Shake Shack Cheeseburger as their meal option.

The burger comes with no fries, but chips, a Caesar salad and burger fixings. Passengers will also get a dark chocolate brownie.

At Shake Shack, we’re always looking for new and innovative ways to meet our guests where they are, even at 35,000 feet," said Michael Kark, President of Global Licensing at Shake Shack. "Taking our beloved cheeseburger to new heights, Shake Shack is proud to partner with Delta as we elevate the in-flight dining and hospitality experience for travelers across the country.”

The cheeseburger option will be available when pre-selecting a meal, and passengers can edit their selection up to 24 hours before the flight using Delta's app or via email.
