THONOTOSASSA, Fla. (CBS12) — A Central Florida man turned $50 into $1 million after scratching his way to a lottery win.
The Florida Lottery saidJamarr Lewter from Hillsborough County claimed the $1 million prize from the $1,000,000 A Year For Life Spectacular game.
Lewter bought his ticket from a 7-Eleven at 8305 West Hillsborough Avenue in Tampa.
The 39-year-oldchose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000 at theLottery’s Tampa District Office.The retailer received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the scratch-off ticket.

The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.50.
