A man from Nebraska died suddenly on his wedding day.

Now, loved ones are doing everything they can to help his bride.

Toraze and Johnnie Mae Davis reportedly tied the knot on Monday, with the groom passing away soon after they exchanged vows.

Those of you that know Johnnie Mae know how beautiful she is inside & out. Sadly, Johnnie Mae unexpectedly lost her husband yesterday on their wedding day," according to a GoFundMe account.

Both Johnnie Mae & Toraze planned on living the rest of their lives together," a loved one noted. "Unfortunately, Toraze gave his last breath shortly after saying 'I Do.' All our hearts are aching for Mrs. Davis and her children. We are asking that you donate towards the burial expenses for Toraze and money to help the new bride with their children. As you know, Johnnie Mae always helps others; this is our time to help her. Please Pray for her and The Davis Family!"

The GoFundMe was created on Tuesday, with more than $11,500 raised by Friday afternoon. The goal is $20,000.

"All donations will go directly to Johnnie Mae Davis," according to the GoFundMe, which includes photos of the couple during their nuptials.

There are also several comments from people who donated, with many sharing condolences.

"May God give you strength and comfort through this most difficult time. You and your family will be in my thoughts, heart and prayers. God bless," one woman wrote.

KETV reported Toraze, who was 48 years old, suffered a fatal blood clot. The media outlet noted the bride's father also recently passed away.

KETV also noted that loved ones created a meal train for the bride and her kids.

“We really want to stress that we want to be able to take care of her and let her the marriage and nurture her children and ourselves,” Monica Miller, the bride's friend and co-worker, told KETV.
