KITSAP COUNTY, Wash. (KOMO) — A kitten nearly used up one of its nine lives this week after it ended up in the water near a Washington State Ferries (WSF) terminal in Kitsap County.
The WSF posted about the situation on its Facebook page Wednesday, saying the kitten was seen roaming on an in-water terminal structure.
WSF crews discovered the kitten had fallen in the water and they launched a rescue boat. The crews were able to save the kitten, which was clinging to an offshore piling, the WSF said.
The kitten was brought safely back to shore and was taken to the South Whidbey Animal Clinic following its rescue.
