Billion-dollar weekend: Who will score the Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots?

Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots this weekend tally more than $1.4 billion.

Friday night's Mega Millions jackpot stands at $560 million, or $281 million as a cash option.

It's the second largest Mega Millions jackpot won in 2023 and the seventh largest Mega Millions jackpot ever won, according to Michigan Lottery.

Saturday's Powerball jackpot stands at $875 million, or $452 million as a cash option.

It's the second largest Powerball jackpot won in 2023 and the third Powerball jackpot ever won, according to Michigan Lottery.

The last time a Mega Millions jackpot was won in Michigan was in January 2021 by an Oakland County lottery club, Michigan Lottery reports.

Cristy Davis, of Waterford, won the last $70 million Powerball jackpot in Michigan on Feb. 12, 2020.

Who will be the next winner? Players can purchase tickets at retailers throughout the state or online at MichiganLottery.com

The Powerball jackpot was last won in April, when one ticket purchased in Ohio matched the five white balls and the Powerball to win a $252.6 million jackpot.

Mega Millions tickets are sold until 10:45 p.m. Friday. Powerball tickets may be purchased until 9:45 p.m. Saturday night.
