CORVALLIS, Ore. (KATU) — A law enforcement officer out helping people with evacuations Wednesday also ended up helping an injured owl.
According to the U.S. Forest Service, Officer Felecia Sloan was doing evacuations when she came across the injured owl.
She was able to safely transport the bird to theChintimini Wildlife Center in Corvallis.
The Forest Service said they're "looking for the silver linings" among the horrible destruction the wildfires have brought to Oregon.
