Over 100 venomous snakes, alligator and dead body found in Pennsylvania home

BEAVER CO, Pa. (WOLF) — Over 150 snakes, including more than 100 venomous, and an alligator were discovered inside a Beaver County home on Tuesday.

According to Penn Live, police were called to the scene after receiving a report of an unconscious man, but upon arrival, they found the body of a 23-year-old man who was pronounced dead.

Although the cause of death has not been disclosed, officials have revealed that the man had a snake bite mark.

Further investigation led to the discovery of an extensive collection of snakes and the alligator in the Aliquippa home.

According to reports, four adults were living in the house along with a three-year-old girl. The group had recently moved to the area with the intention of selling the reptiles at shows and online.

Child protective services were notified of the situation, but the child is still living with her family at this time.

The reptiles have been transferred to a pet store that works with the Beaver County Humane Society.

It has been revealed that the owners of the snakes could face fines of up to $1,000 per venomous snake.
