PITTSBURGH (TND) — A couple in Pittsburgh had to deal with a lot of crap after their mischievous dog decided to chow down on a wad of cash.
Carrie Law posted about their dog's expensive tasteon Instagramand it didn't take long for it to go viral with 197,000 likes.
Cecil's owners said he is usually well-behaved and never did anything bad until he made a meal on dozens of $50 and $100 bills.
Clayton Law told KDKA he and his wife had collected the cash to pay for a home project.
After placing it on the kitchen counter, the 7-year-old Goldendoodle was caught about 30 minutes later enjoying his snack.
"I walked back into the room and then all this cash was on the ground. He's just like this, standing there, and I'm just like oh my gosh, he ate some of this money and was in shock. I yelled to Carrie, 'He ate the money, he ate $4,000!'" he said.
The couple then had to dig through his "deposits" to get back their hard-earned cash.
In the video, Clayton is seen collecting the poop while Carrie tries to wash chewed-up bills multiple times before attempting to tape it back together.
They were able to recover $3,550 and said the bank accepted the cash if it had the serial number on both sides.
After being bad to the bone, Cecil was ruled to be fine.
