Snickers brought back a fan-favorite flavor that was first launched as an ode to Texas five years ago.
According to All Recipes,Snickers is bringing back its pecan flavor five years after it sold out online. Per the outlet, Snickers Pecan was first introduced as a special edition item after the company asked fans to chose between cashews, macadamia nuts, pistachios and pecans to decide on a new flavor.
Snickers Pecan were initially an ode to Texas, according to All Recipes, which reported that some of the very first Snickers bars were produced in the state. The phases "Texas Proud" and "Fixin' to Satisfy" could be found on the Snickers Pecan packaging, per the outlet.
Sold online in 15-packs for $30, boxes of Snickers Pecan sold out completely by the end of the launch day, per All Recipes.
A company representative told All Recipes that the returning flavor will be a permanent addition to the Snickers portfolio and will hit the shelves of Walmart, Dollar General and other convenience stores across the nation by the third week of August. According to the outlet, some fans claimed to have already found boxes of Snickers Pecan on store shelves, writing that finding them was "worth the hunt."
