Spirit the cat has a cozy home for the holidays thanks to a Pennsylvania officer.

The stray cat was initially found by an airport employee who found her in the long-term parking lot and contacted the Allegheny County Police Department, according to a social media post.

Officers were able to quickly catch her but realized she was extremely malnourished and in need of veterinary care.

Patrol Officer Edward Watts stepped up and volunteered to get her the treatment she needed.

The 1-year-old cat was discovered to have multiple underlying health issues but Officer Watts' family said she is now expected to make a full recovery and is already adjusting to her new home.
