Texan dances into 104th year, shares secrets for a long and happy life

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX) — A senior center in Texas celebrated the 104th birthday of one of its participants.

The center, Bienvivir All-Inclusive Senior Health, celebrated Albino Camarillo.

The party, which was dragon-themed with attendants wearing kimonos and dragon-shaped decorations, had live music and featured a cake-cutting ceremony.

KFOX spoke with the birthday boy, who said he was speechless, saying that he hadn't done anything to deserve this much love and attention. Regardless of whether he thinks he deserves it or not, Camarillo said he was thankful for everything.

Camarillo took to the dance floor, admitting to KFOX cameras that he was never much of a dancer when he was a younger man, but said he couldn't say no when he was asked to "polish the dance floor."

When asked what the secret to his longevity is, Camarillo said he can't tell. Maybe it has something to do with living a life free of fears and vices, he said.

Camarillo also said he believes people should avoid "toxic" relationships, pray more regardless of their religion, beliefs, or faith, and be humble as no one is superior to anyone. Wise words.
