They're back! 'Blizzard' summer treats available at Dairy Queen for 85 cents each

WASHINGTON (TND) — Back by popular demand, Dairy Queen announced its S'mores Blizzard Treat will be April's "Blizzard of the Month."

Several other summer favorites are returning to the menu a little early this year, including Oreo and cotton candy.

Plus, the ice cream treats available for 85 cents apiece at participating locations.

S’more good news for you! The S’MORES BLIZZARD TREAT IS BACK!!!" Dairy Queen noted on social media, adding that more than 20 million comments and direct messages made it happen.

It’s time to celebrate the return of summer and the return of your favorite seasonal Blizzard Treat," according to DairyQueen.com. "While you don’t have to hit the great outdoors to enjoy the iconic taste of s’mores, you can still grab your friends and family and gather around your campfire in a cup to tell tales of how scarily delicious the DQ S’mores Blizzard Treat is. Welcome back to a season of sweet fun under the sun. Next time you’re craving s’mores, skip the sticky fingers and the fires and head down to your local DQ restaurant for a S’more Blizzard Treat."

The ice cream and fast food shared a video on Instagram of an employee making the summer snack.

Footage shows the base of the dessert as vanilla soft-serve ice cream. Gooey marshmallow topping is added, along with graham crackers, and mini-chocolate chucks filled with marshmallows.

The concoction is then blended until mixed together and topped with a spoon.

DairyQueen.com notes that the treat comes in four sizes, including mini, small, medium, and large.
