'Tis the season: Starbucks reveals release date for Pumpkin Spice Latte
(TNND) — The unofficial start of fall begins on Aug. 26 when the fan-favorite Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) returns to Starbucks.
While you can't break out the sweaters and scarves just yet, you can still enjoy a Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai and Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte.
Fall lovers can also try the new Pecan Cortado and Italian Sausage egg bites.
If you have a hard time waiting, fall flavors will be released in grocery stores this week, including a PSL-inspired creamer and smoked-butterscotch-flavored coffees.
According to the coffee chain's website, the PSL was invented in April 2003 in the “Liquid Lab,” a secure research and development space on the 7th floor of Starbucks headquarters in Seattle.
Since the former Chipotle CEO, Brian Niccol took over last September, several changes to the company include cutting the menu by 30%, changing employee uniforms and "streamlining operations" by laying off 1,100 corporate employees globally.
