YORK, Maine (WGME) – A tractor-trailer hauling frozen curly fries caught fire on the Maine Turnpike in York on Monday, according to the York Fire Department.
The fire happened around 1:40 p.m. on I-95 southbound in York. The tractor-trailer was hauling frozen curly fries.
Officials say approximately 6,000 gallons of water were used to put the fire out. The trailer and cargo were a total loss.
It took crews several hours to clean up the truck, which caused significant traffic delays in the area.
No one was hurt.
