SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Just six months after catching and releasing a 41-pound trout at Utah's Flaming Gorge, 11-year-old Tyler Grimshaw has done it again – this time with a 48-pound trout.
According to the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (UDWR), Tyler caught the 41-pounder in June when he was 10-years-old.
Now, Tyler has caught and released a 48-pound trout, also at Flaming Gorge.
Both times, UDWR says Tyler caught the fish by himself.
In a tweet, UDWR stated:
Back in June, 10-year-old Tyler Grimshaw caught & released a 41-pound lake trout at Flaming Gorge. Over the weekend, Tyler (who is now 11) caught & successfully released this 48-pounder (also at #FlamingGorge), again, by himself — way to go, Tyler!"
DWR released photos of both catches, which you can see in the photo gallery above.
