NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Nashville Soccer Club will play its first league home game in Nissan Stadium.
Nashville's newest professional sports team, Nashville SC, plays under that United Soccer League. Nashville SC's first USL home game is set for March 24 at 5 p.m. against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.
The club calls First Tennessee Park home, but it announced Monday that the home opener was moved to Nissan Stadium due to the high demand for ticket sales.
Nashville SC sold out its first exhibition game against Atlanta United FC. Fans packed the rain-soaked stadium for a match that ended 3-1 in Atlanta United's favor.
“We saw the incredible passion and support of our fans in our preseason exhibition last Saturday,” said Nashville SC CEO Court Jeske. “On Saturday, March 24, we have our first opportunity to play a regular season match in front of those fans. By moving this event to Nissan Stadium, Nashville Soccer Club wanted to ensure that every fan that wants to take in history will have the opportunity to do so."
Tickets to the March 24 game will go on sale Feb. 20 starting at $15. Click here or call 615-457-8200 to purchase.
