A middle school band teacher from the Pacific Northwest may have stumbled upon one of the most important events of the year for the natural world.

On Monday, officers with the South Milwaukee Police Department were called to Grant Park along Lake Michigan for a report of an alligator.

They say the truth is out there, somewhere, in a galaxy, far, far away.
